Mitigating Mass Incarceration
A call to action program
In development
What is it?
Mitigating Mass Incarceration is a community-based mitigation program that creates a bridge between folks who are vulnerable to incarceration and folks who wish to effect change. We bring our collective skills, talents, vocations, and resources to our folks who face incarceration. We do this to fortify our community through sharing our collective power. We build places of belonging for folks who are vulnerable to incarceration, and we work as a people to end mass incarceration.
How?
Through the tools of mitigation film, short form podcast, and holistic defense, we use an interactive media platform to build community-based alternatives-to-incarceration and mitigate one prison sentence at a time.
Want to help?
Mitigating Mass Incarceration project is fiscally sponsored by Antenna :: New Orleans and can accept tax deductible donations. We are currently applying for grants, building community connections, and on mission. Please reach out if you want to learn more or help support its development!
